Information on the Battery Ordinance

We as a dealer are obliged in connection with the sale of batteries or rechargeable batteries - even if they are only sold together with a terminal device - according to the Battery Ordinance to inform our customers of the following:

You as the end user are obliged to return batteries that are waste to a distributor or to collection points set up for this purpose by the public waste disposal authorities. Disposal via household waste is generally prohibited.

Waste batteries or accumulators can be disposed of free of charge either by handing them over to a municipal collection point or by returning them to local retailers.

Batteries received from us can also be returned free of charge after use at the following address or sent back to us by post with sufficient postage:

Batteries containing harmful substances are marked with the symbol of a crossed-out garbage can, similar to the symbol in the illustration below.

The crossed-out garbage can means: Batteries and rechargeable batteries must not be disposed of in household garbage.

The signs under the trash cans stand for: Pb: Battery contains lead Cd: Battery contains cadmium Hg: Battery contains mercury.

Notes on the disposal of old appliances and electronic waste

Since March 2006, the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) has stipulated that old appliances may no longer be disposed of in household waste. In addition to typical electrical appliances such as televisions, washing machines or refrigerators, this also applies to e.g. GPS devices, flashlights, and/or other old electrical appliances. These devices can also be recognized by the symbol of a "crossed-out trash can":

You will find the symbol on the devices or the packaging.

You can hand in electronic waste free of charge at municipal collection points, for example. Your municipal waste advisory service or the consumer centers can provide you with information on the exact location of these collection points.
